A trip on one of the transmission lines and the Mexico-Guatemala interconnection is believed to have caused a power outage that began at 10:37 a.m. and lasted for seven minutes. The Central American Regional Power Operator attributes the outage to a trip on one of the units at the Cobre Panamá mine.
