What Happened
The Directorate General of Revenue, known as the DGI, will resume in-person service to the public starting Monday, April 27, on Avenida Balboa. The office will operate under its regular schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Public Service Restored
The return to face-to-face attention restores normal access for taxpayers and users who need to complete procedures, make inquiries, or receive assistance at the agency’s offices. The schedule places the DGI back in its standard weekday routine after the temporary interruption of public service.
Why It Matters
The DGI plays a central role in Panama’s tax administration, handling matters linked to revenue collection and taxpayer services. When an institution like the DGI resumes in-person attention, it helps reestablish direct access for individuals and businesses that rely on office visits to carry out formal procedures.
Avenida Balboa is one of Panama City’s main corridors, and the return of public attention there is important for residents and businesses that depend on central government offices located in the capital. Regular office hours also make it easier for users to plan visits during the workweek.
What to Expect
With the office open again during its normal weekday schedule, the public can return to in-person service during the agency’s established hours. The DGI’s move reflects a return to routine administrative operations in Panama City’s central business area.
