## What this means

The announced increases will directly affect motorists and commercial transport across the country. Higher pump prices typically translate into increased costs for freight and passenger transport, which can feed through to prices for goods and services. Households that rely on private vehicles or on transport services may see a rise in daily expenses during the period the new prices are in effect.

## Background

The National Energy Secretariat is the government body that published the update listing the new regional tariffs. The Secretariat’s price schedule sets retail fuel rates by region and is effective for the stated period—this update applies from March 20 until April 3, 2026.
