# Panama's comptroller office warns of Instagram account hack

The Comptroller General of the Republic of Panama said its official Instagram account was hacked on Sunday night, April 12, after the intrusion was detected around 8:00 p.m. The institution said its information technology team immediately activated security protocols to try to regain control and assess the scope of the breach.
