# Panama’s Armys Join Historic BTS Comeback in Seoul, Streaming Live for Fans Back Home

## What Happened

Millions of fans worldwide awaited the March 21, 2026 concert in Seoul titled “The Comeback Live,” marking South Korean group BTS’s return to the stage after nearly four years without a new album. The show began at 8:00 p.m. Korea Standard Time (6:00 a.m. in Panama) and was available live on Netflix.

The performance introduced the group’s new production and album concept, Arirang, a tribute to Korean cultural heritage that draws on feelings of nostalgia, resilience and reunion. BTS — Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook — performed from Gwanghwamun Plaza, a symbolic public space in Seoul.

## Panama Fans in Seoul

Members of Korea Fans Panamá traveled to Seoul to attend the historic comeback. Anabel de la Rosa, president of Korea Fans Panamá, told La Prensa she was excited to be part of the moment for Panamanian Armys. The group of Panamanian fans also attended pre-concert activities, including a drone show at Hangang Park along the Han River.

Korea Fans Panamá has a social media community of more than 54,000 followers on Instagram and organizes local activities such as dance competitions and K-pop performances by Panamanians who embrace South Korean culture.

## Concert Details

The open-air event at Gwanghwamun Plaza expected more than 260,000 attendees and had a substantial security presence, with over 6,700 police officers deployed. The concert acts as the launch for a new global tour scheduled to begin in April 2026 and will include multiple Latin American dates later in the year.

## Confirmed Latin America Dates

Organizers have announced several Latin American stops for the tour: Mexico City (May 7, 9 and 10), Bogotá (Oct. 2–3), Lima (Oct. 9–10), Santiago (Oct. 16–17), Buenos Aires (Oct. 23–24) and São Paulo (Oct. 28, 30 and 31).

## What This Means

For Panama’s fandom community, participation in the Seoul comeback is both a cultural experience and a form of representation on the global stage. Fans say their presence aims to celebrate BTS’s return while strengthening cultural ties between Panama and South Korea. The live Netflix broadcast also allowed Panamanian viewers who could not travel to Seoul to watch the event in real time.

While the concert spotlights BTS’s musical return, it also illustrates the reach of K-pop communities in Panama and their role in international cultural exchange.
